pot pourri

Interesting things on this blog and some free designs.  She has some fine patterns and some interesting old photos, some of her family.

This comes from Quilt Pro.  I had this program once but it was quite a while ago and I am not sure where it is. Probably would need to be upgraded anyway. This is easier LOL.

We had a wonderful day with our granddaughters and Charlotte. Katie, Meg and Meg's DH Lewis brought Charlotte to visit. She is such a ball of fire, she never stopped running , well almost never. She still loves great grandpa and just kind of tolerates me. She kissed grandpa and let me kiss her. What is wrong with this picture LOL. I adore her no matter what. I lifted her up and just about lost my balance. I should have thought as my balance is not that good anyhow and the extra weight unbalanced me. But for the moment it was good to hold her.
Charlotte and Aunti Katie looking at the camera. Next they play with blocks;
What a nice auntie.

Taking time out from running and playing with auntie's bracelet.
A smile on her face, cookie crumbs on her lips.

We had sandwiches for lunch but I promised that next month when they come I'll make chili. Lewis likes that and I think Meaghan does too.
Kate and I spent a bit of time checking out my blocks and the part of the quilt I have already made. I think though I will change things on that top.
Kate is leaving tomorrow for Toronto to go to University there. She has a scholarship for her courses. She told me today what she is taking but I have lost it. Seems to me there was something about research and tracking diseases. I'll have to get her to write it down. I remember better when I see something written than hearing it.
But she will be home for Christmas. In the meantime we see Meg, Lewis,Mary and Ricky more often. Sam too. It is so nice .
I was pretty tired after and went for a nap. I wish I had Charlotte's energy, but then I did have it when I was her age haha.

Now here's a dog that can play two games at once LOL. Or is it four?  What a mouthful !!

Isn't this a lovely nod to the past. This bandstand is in Halifax but we have one here . This is the picture that I found, it is an old photo but interesting that it is on the beach with a boardwalk stretching in front of it now. There is no boardwalk nowadays.  When I was a kid there were actually bands that played in this bandstand. But the bandstand is still there at Kit's beach.

Hardly any city in the background or in the foreground for that matter. It looks pretty quiet then.

 Love is grand!
Time to go folks. I cannot discuss politics, religion or sex. I like politics, have no religion and have forgotten about sex. So  that is all out of the question LOL
Have a great evening!!
