Stormy weather

Wow What a storm we had last night, thunder for hours, and its pal lightning along with torrents of pounding rain. We just enjoyed the display and nothing happened to us.
Magnificant isn't it?

Golden Gate is the name of this pattern.

Today was a lot cooler and I for one enjoyed it.
Mary called this morning to say she, Albert, Rose and Katie will be taking us to lunch on Sunday. That will be so much fun. I am really excited about the visit. It has been a while since I saw them, at least it feels like a while. My heart swells when I think of them coming to see us. After all Kate just got in from Liberia and Mary and Albert live across the pond in Victoria, so not easy  for everyone to get together.
I wonder if Charlotte and her mom and dad will be coming too. I always look forward to seeing them.
As are all Grandmas.  This one looks pretty good if you ask me LOL.

Bob and Buzz came for tea this afternoon. Buzz and I were talking the last time we met about the fact that none of our kids wanted our lovely china and pretty tea sets. So we decided to have a tea party. Ray and I hosted the party. We used all the good china and my beautiful teapot and fabulous plates. we got some wonderful cookies at Costco the other day and Ray bought some lovely cakes at the bakery. I only ate two cookies. Oh my  goodness such a goody two shoes LOL
We had a great time and spent several hours enjoying ourselves. It was such a good idea, not the Empress but close haha.  You should  try it you'll like it!
I love this sprightly little owl , such spirit! He looks as if he is dancing.

And only in Canada you say eh! Moose are so ugly but also so special, don't you see a resemblance between the moose and the man LOL.

This is a gorgeous block. I made one of these stars with just one star on the side but have not seen this star with two extras inside the main star. It is quite a piece.
Here is my star which I have shown before.
It is so tiny. Look for the green up in the left  corner.

I wonder if you can copy this one, it is a halloweèen block.
However you can make your own version if you can draw at all.

These boys can sleep anywhere, any time. Summer time is a good time for sunflowers. I am wondering if there are any sunflowers left in the states that grow them since this dreadful drought that has overtaken the midwest.

Now it the time....
Have a lovely evening folks.
Kalispera.
