storm

A storm approaches Haiti and on the way Florida where the republican party is holding its convention. That must be so frightening. I really feel for the poor people of Haiti who have not recovered from the horrendous earthquake suffered 2 years ago. They are still living in tents . I often wonder where the money that so many people donated has gone.  It is such a heartbreak.

I love turtles tra la la

See the similarities LOL. Everybody loves to look out the window. More cuteness for you Margaret . Marg likes this photo and so do I since it has been on the blog several times. Why is it so cute I wonder.

I like this block , not the colours particularly, but the block is good!! Pretty easy piecing isn't it.  Quilt Pro block of the day.

Today we didn't do a lot but I went for a haircut, it was about time. I have my hairdresser doing what I want now so that is good.
After that we went to the mall for a walk and a bit of lunch. Neither of us can walk very far these days. Ray's leg is killing him , so he has to sit down often. I have my walker so can get a bit further. However he doesn't want me to walk alone. Do you remember that song I'll Walk Alone, well I won't!
We went to the bakery for that wonderful bread and had sandwiches for dinner. When I bought the meat for lunch the other day with the grandchildren I bought way too much so we have to eat it up. Cold meats are very expensive - don't like to waste them.
Then I had to have a nap , nothing new there LOL.
I read my book for a while and then napped like crazy ZZZZ.
The book is by Beverley Barton , she writes a good story I think thisone is Cry No More, but since the book is in the bedroom and I don't feel like getting up to look we'll go with that title LOL. Or maybe it is Don't Say a Word, I think that is more likely. Don't Say a Word is the title. I looked up her bio and she passed away in April 2011 at the age of 64. Such a shame. But she did leave a huge legacy of titles.

Ah sooo cute! Is it a juvenile hummingbird? I think so. He must be tired and needs a rest.

Richard  saw these dolphins off the north end of Vancouver Island and took the picture. Pacific White-sided dolphins is what they are called. His boat must have been pretty close to them. I am not sure what type of dolphin they are . Facebook is not working for me tonight , can't get onto it or I would be able to check . He had a lot of great photos of the ocean LOL and some boats too.

Since I was talking about boats this is an appropriate block to feature. Sorry the cutting instructions take up so much room. There I cut them down to size.
