blocks done

I am not feeling well tonight so my blog may be short.

We are watching the hockey game , Vancouver is losing to Minnesota. Sad to say.

I got my last two star blocks for the guild finished today. That takes care of all of them. Guild is on Wednesday night this week ao I am on track for this month. I am happy about that. I worked on them part of the morning and again in the afternoon.  I work very slowly and do not run my machine fast because I lose control of it. Even so there are times when I need to unpick my stitches. Sometimes the back slips away and I have to take it out. But that is the way when I want the blocks to be good. I sure would love to be a good piecer and get the blocks done more quickly. But that is how it goes here. LOL. I question though if the cutting is perfect on these blocks.
The last of them....

Ray worked hard in the kitchen this afternoon making his world famous spaghetti sauce. Here it is.
Of course it was deelicious!!
we had spaghetti and sauce for dinner. We both ate too much.
We didn't go out at all today and it was great to stay in and do some things here that we wanted to do.

I started on a new book by  Harlan Coben, titled Stay Close. It is really engrossing to me and I had trouble putting it down to write this blog. I had no idea when I bought the book it would be this good. I must buy more of the writer's works.

I can't find my case of crochet hooks anywhere.  I want to do some more cloths for the bathroom and I like that crochet ones instead of the knit ones we use in the kitchen. fussy aren't we? LOL.

Bow Tie, Block of the Day. This is one of the first quilts I made. I gave it to Meaghan.
My bow tie block, with hearts.

Don't use white, you can see how the white takes over. The bow ties were made of children's fabrics.

Richard's third daughter Katie with large knitting needles. I think I may have taught her to knit, I did teach her how to quilt and she was very quick to catch on, but then hse is also very clever, like her dad.

That's it folks.
Have a great evening.
Good night.
