Let's see if this works. It is a jig saw puzzle of a beautiful butterfly. Good luck.

Great stuff here and a show of wonderful fabric organization.

Do you remember a cover of Quiltmaker with a quilt of just this cat pattern without the diamond collar LOL. I once saw a woman making this quilt out of Christmas fabrics and it looked fabulous.

Another basket but this one is angled so you could say it is different. I hope that is the end of the baskets unless someone wants to make a basket quilt of  distinct baskets.

Last night was guild . We had a great speaker Marci Baker who showed us how to make difficult quilts an easy way.  And I can't even explain it.However I was impressed with strip piecing a Grandmother's Flower Garden. No set in seams and without Y seams. It was amazing she just did  both halves of the flower and then sewed it down the middle and there is was . I have pictures so you can see what I mean. I'll just show that all these are strip pieced. Such a miracle!!
Strip pieced Can  you believe it?
Wow! How did this work?

Yes the stars are also stip pieced. First one side is created and then the second side and joined dwon the middle.
Whys.....

This one was my favourite with the hollow cubes.
It was a good show and inspiring.
Also I took home 12 more blocks to do but they don't have to be done in this coming month so it is not a rush job.
Here are some of the guild members Show and Tell from last night.
This stretched star is one of my favourites. It is generally scrappy colours and these blues are scrappy blues but give a nice effect as all the stars are blue and cream. I really like it.
That is all for photos tonight , tomorrow I may add some more members quilts.
Today I had to stay in all day , first for the water delivery and then for cushions that were being repaired for the sofa.
I wasn't in any rush to go out as my side was still very sore from the big sneeze LOL. So I took Tylenol One for the pain and was much fogged out for the day.
Marg came over for a while with two books, one of which is due on the 27th . I took out a book yesterday which is due in a week. Oh my I had better find a tree to sit under so I can read in private. Too bad it is raining cats and dogs. And Marg brought over another book. I have several that I took out yesterday. So my reading pile has grown exponentially ,LOL.  I won't be able to get it all done. But libraries are great , you can take them out again, renew them. I'll do the ones that have to be in and cannot be renewed.

Ray was out at the dentist but he went to Safeway and bought me chicken for dinner. He bought cabbage rolls for himself. We both were happy.
So that was the day, not busy for me as I did nothing today.Just rested and tried to get over my painful injury. And I think it did the trick. I have always believed that rest is the cure for most ailments.

Wouldn't this arbour be a lovely place to sit and rest. Or read a book. Or just sit and look. It is beautiful.

Does this look familiar? Cats of a smaller order love to sit in boxes too. Amusing!!

Nice thread and scrap catcher. I like it because of that gorgeous red. Forgive me if I have shown it before.

I just went through a pile of quilts on Facebook and it was a great journey. The site went off on me and I want to dind it again . I will!! Then I'll let you all know what it is.

Time for me to go, I am still not on top of the world and drowsy from the painkiller.
Have a good evening.
