Lovely redwork pillow here for first Friday freebie. I like the look of redwork , thinking that I may attempt to make something in redwork. It would be a great take away project to have in your bag.

 

I spent the day indoors with Jim and Ray.  Jim spent the day cleaning up my laptop. I don't know what he did but the computer itself did a lot of the work. He knows what to tell it to do while I know nothing about it. He cleaned up my PC and got my printer working yesterday. It is amazing how much he knows about computers. Richard also knows a lot about them and when he lived here he used to help me. But today Jim spent most of the day on the laptop, I am so grateful to him.  He has done a lot of work.

While Jim was doing that I sewed. Yes I did. I got 2 of the star blocks made and almost a third one. As  I have to go from one area to the other again and again my legs got very shaky and I had to quit on the third one. I'll tackle that tomorrow, Here are the two I made.

I notice that these stars are very heavy with seams and not as much fun to do as simpler blocks where I feel that I have done well. But there are only three and a half more to do. I hope to get them done for the next guild night which will be the second week of March. And here we are in March. Can you believe it?

After I stopped sewing we decided to phone in for a pizza for dinner. We did that and in 45 minutes the pizza arrived. Easy cooking for dinner LOL.

So now I am checking out my stuff on the laptop to see if  it all works. So far , so good.

Remember that site I had on here that showed how to do corner pieces onto a square without having to draw a line or to fold in a crease. Today I tried that method and it worked!! I was so pleased. Just remember to start your little sqaure in the corner sew a few stitches , stop to make sure you have the bottom corner on the square correctly and keep your eye on the corner to make sure you

have it on the tape. It is great. Try it.
