Grandmother's Choice again and the block is Mr. Roosevelt's tie. Again the topic is Woman's Suffrage.  I find this suffrage movement a very fascinating topic. Women went through so much to gain suffrage.

Today I am 81 and officially in my 80s. I can't believe I have lived so long and seemingly learned so little LOL.  I hope to keep on going for a while longer. I have had many calls from friends and family today as well as many Facebook/ email birthday wishes. I am happy! Thank you all who have contributed to my happy day.

Ray and I did not go out at all today. he was not feeling well.  We both have been off a bit and he is still not feeling the best.However I am back to feeling great. I hope to continue this feeling. I slept all night from 6 PM to 8 AM only waking up when Ray came into the room to turn off my light. Sleep is good. One of the important lessons I have learned in a long life, Sleep can heal all kinds of things so I recommend that you all take my advice and sleep well.LOL.

My sister Marg came over to day with a card and a few scratch tickets. I won $2 and a free ticket. Thanks Marg!
She came from church where she does quite a few jobs but was able to leave early today.

Miloe Raonic is taking Canada to the Davis Cup  in Tennis. Congratulations to him.

Another Block of the Day 

Crooked ship, I am not sure what the name of this block is so I renamed it myself. One must be creative. Another thing I did learn in a long life.

 

Oh my don't you absolutely love this one. Well it is pink!

 

I want to be this old lady, oh my they are so adorable. Scotties are a very popular dog with the important people like presidents.

 

 Ah I so love my friends who are very good to me.

 And this one just makes me laugh!!

 

For a birthday it has been very quiet. Right now we are watching George and Mary , King George V and Queen Mary of Teck.He was a miserable piece of work.

She was the brains behind the monarchy.

 

Such is a very short biography of them LOL. You'll have to look them up on the net. Have fun. Monarchs and their lives are very entertaining to me.
