long day

Saturday and a very busy day it has been. I am just getting around to writing my blog and it is 9:00PM.
So this is how it went today.
After I got up and had  my breakfast we went to our store to do the grocery shopping. I was looking for the latest quilt magazines. I may had commented on this before but so many of the magazines are now in a sealed plastic envelope so we can't get in and have a look to see if it is one we want to buy. They often have a CD in the envelope so of course they keep it  sealed. However I want  to see what I am buying so I just don't purchase the ones that are sealed.  That means I don't get the new magazines. Too bad. I console myself by saying I have so many magazines any way I don't need any more ideas for quilts I am not going to make. I am not sewing these days as life is way too busy with other things.

After paying for our groceries we went to TIM's and had coffee and a BLT for lunch.

When we had put all the groceries away Ray wanted to go to Coquitlam and look at recliners at Lazy Boy. We spent quilt t bit of tome there looking at chairs and saw a pair that we really liked but Ray felt they were too expensive. Coming in at around $3000 was a bit much. So we went to a small White Spot for coffee and a small fries and believe me it was a small fries. But we shared it and were satisfied for the moment.
The Coquitlam casino was nearby so we went. I had a great day. On my first play I win $230 . I gave Ray half of it. During the day I won enough so that I could play on it. Then at the end when we were going to go home I tried the same machine that I had won on earlier and would you believe it I won another $225 . Good day!!

We were late getting home but it was still light out and I enjoyed all the beautiful blossoming trees on our route. The cities are blooming  all over and it is inspiring to see them. Spring is

definitely here.

Lo the winter is past and the rains are over and gone, The flowers appear on the earth,

And we had raisin toast for our evening treat. Haha.
So that was the day.

Does he make you smile/laugh?   He did me. I look for photos that make me smile and then I like to share them with you.

Carrie's Choice. Pretty star-a  bit different from Clay's Choice.

This beautiful tulip was created as the signature flower of the Holland America cruise lines.
You can find this quilt at Hamels in Chilliwack. It looks great and looks easy too.

Recently I have heard several cat owners remark on how their cats  wake them up in the morning.

Dogs on the other hand......

It's getting late so I will close for the night.
Have a great evening or what is left of it .
Good night.

Hi Nan, do yourselves a favor. When you buy a recliner, buy a lift chair recliner. One that will lift you and Ray out of the chair. It will be much easier on the legs and especially for Ray and his back.. They run around $900 & Up We just bought 3 of them. Worth every penny. Jean
