Table runner for Spring

 http://www.freequiltpatterns.info/free-tutorial---table-runner-by-crystal.htm

A very cheerful table runner for your Spring table and only three blocks plus it is Red, White and Blue. Just in time for July the 4th too.

Download now as a pdf pattern

Called Checkerboard. As you can tell I prefer these ordinary pieced blocks. And these are  mostly squares and half square triangles , both items that are easy to make.

In our travels today we went to the fruit and vegetables market for a few items, then to the bakery for bread and a small treat. I had a cupcake with lovley icing on the top and Ray had 2 small tarts.
We had to go to the bank for our weekly allowance, just like kids, but we take the same amount every week for spending money.
We went to the post office to check out the size of the box we need to get for Rick's quilt so we can send it on to Calgary.
Richard last year , in the summer I think or maybe the year before. We had a good time at the White Spot.  I am glad I have pictures of Rick.

Then we went to the grocery store and picked up some hamburger. Next we sat and had a coffee and this is when we had the treats.
It was a lovely day here with the sun shining and spreading its warmth everywhere.
I took a photo of a beautiful magnolia tree but I didn't have my card in and I am having trouble downloading it from the camera itself. I'll try again tonight. And then I'll put the card back in the camera LOL.

When we came home I began to read my e reader  with the new book I downloaded. I am just so smart LOL!! Now I need to figure out how to use the library app. Maybe we should go to the library and ask them for help. Go to the source is always my advice to myself. And good advice it is :>)

Harold, thanks for the comment letting me know you saw the poem and that your aunt will be happy to see it again. I appreciate your remarks.

I think I am going to cut out heart shapes on freezer paper so I

can iron them onto my red fabric. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow. Who knows. LOL

Lovely kitties , they are so cute.  And all the same cat just different colours. It looks to me that these litties are all symmetrical so you could fold a piece of paper, draw one side of the cat face and cut it out. Be sure to not put the face on the open leaves of the paper or you'll have two pieces instead of one face. Those eyes look like the little circle reinforcements  we used on loose leaf papers for our binders. Haha.

LOL! Cheeky cat!

Mending or sewing down binding. This granny keeps herself very busy.

Texas covered in blue, is it lavender or Bluebonnets , whatever it is. I am not sure.

Jack called tonight from Quebec, Jack is Ray's son. So they had a nice long talk.

I brought out my crochet hooks today and began a crocheted dishcloth. The first effort was too big soa regular pain sometimes. I had to take it out and start again. Then it went into the basket until tomorrow. I am so lazy at the end of the day or should I say tired. Getting old can be a bit if a pain but much better than the alternativ

Time is up folks.
Have a lovely evening.
Good night!
Don't ask LOL.

Love the kitty pictures and I also love traditional simple quilts. I also want to apologize for not returning your email about the poem. I've been working full time and my home computer is dead. I can only check email after work hours or at the library. I didn't see your poetry request until just recently. I'm glad Mary found it for you.

Nan, I do enjoy classic simple quilt designs. The ones you posted are very pretty. I need to apologize in that I haven't had much access to a computer so my email doesn't get checked on a regular basis. I just found your poetry notee. I'm sorry I didn't respond in a timely manner. I'm glad Mary was able to find the poem for you.
