pineapple variation

Download now as a pdf pattern

Diagonal Pineapple why is it called diagonal I wonder. So many things I don't know, hmm can you believe it LOL.  It looks nice though.

Another full busy day for me. Mary found a red kettle in Canadian Tire using her superior internet skills. We went up the Caniadian Tire after lunch hour and bought one so now we can make tea when we have people who like tea. We are coffee drinkers, both of us but once in a while I enjoy a cup of tea.
When we got home I cut those hearts I mentioned the other day and ironed them onto the red fabrics I have.  I used the small iron I bought but it was not too effective in sticking them down. Maybe it wasn't hot enough. Whatever ...I'll use my regular iron to do this job. But the little iron was good at doing seams on the blocks I made today. See told you I was busy. Now I have to sew the seam
allowance on the hearts.

I made 6 blocks for the guild to use in their children's quilts. Here they are...

Very easy blocks as you can see.
But so colourful just the way little kids like it.

Then it was time for dinner so I made some chili. Ray said it was good so I was happy.

Nothing doing now except watching the Mentalist. So we relax for the evening.

This lovely quilt was made by my friend Jamie Davis. She does such wonderful sewing , quilting and making clothes for her sweet boy grandson. She is so productive and clever.  I love the bright colours and fabrics.

So reassuring LOL.

Isn't this something all that on a regular spool of thread, old fashioned thread . It was much bigger on the spool than the skinny spools we have today. But the miniature sewing scene is wondrous.

Time is up for me.
Have a great evening folks.
Good night!
