basket

Check out this site, there are some interesting items to make and small enough so that they don't take a year to make LOL. Pretty basket. I would call it a knitting basket but I am sure it is a quilting basket. Whatever it is I like it.

Three little ships at sea, something for the kids ! These looked stuffed to me. I could find out as on the site above has the full instructions for these ships. You could make as many as you wish just for fun.

Have a close look at this picnic basket, neat isn't it?

Today, my sewing day was a lovely morning. I did not make it to the afternoon quilting group again. I keep missing it and that disappoints me. This time it was because Betty had a sore throat so Sharon said she did not want to go to Betty's where Ray picks me up. That meant I had to go home with Pat at noon. I could not get in touch with Ray so Community Quilts was out. Next week Pat will not be going so another Sharon will pick me up. Great ladies aren't they?

Betty Lu continued to hand quilt her original Boston Album quilt, Pat was appliqueing roses, Joan had some of Margaret Rolf's Australian anima;ls that she had done and they were marvellous. I appliqued hearts and embroidered antennae. Most of the ladies are very accomplished , I am not so much. I do enjoy everything though and the friendships are very important to me.
When Pat brought me home Ray was still out, he came home just after me. We stayed home for the rest of the afternoon. I was tired so had a nap.

This panel is Betty Lu's house in Maine. Isn't it a charming little house. She has invited us all to visit. I am disappointed that I cannot go into the states very far.

For dinner we had a spaghetti squash . It was good , we don't eat it often but still enjoy it when we do. I think it would taste good with sausages.

Known as Chinese Puzzle.
Look at that , the underline won't go away, very irritating.

Well, well a chair for a squirrel to eat his corn and sit upon. I wonder who else sits there....

One of the needlepoint pieces I made and gave to Jim. It hangs in his dining room now.

It is time to go.
Have a good evening!
Good night.
