Did your mom teach you to do the blanket stitch when you were a kid. Mine did but for those who had no such instruction here is a video to show you how.

Mary Todd Lincoln quilt and bio. I haven't taken the time to read the bio but it looks interesting.

Download now as a pdf pattern

Baby Basket block. This one is so cute and in the range of baskets that seem to be so popular on Quilt Pro lately. We should have quite a collection by now. Two fabrics only , lovely blue and white. It is so clean as my deceased first MIL said of the two colour combination blue and white.
Those are the projects for today , enjoy!

And our projects for today are......
We managed to go out to London Drugs today and to Staples. Staples for a new stapler LOL and some large brown envolopes.
London Drugs for tooth paste and toothbrushes.  I bought a pack of 4 tooth brushes and not I want to know what was I thinking ?  LOL

I want to find a red kettle but they did not have any there. I know I have seen them somewhere. So we'll go to Home Sense to see if they have any.

We were out for quite a while but had an hour before we needed to go out again. That was for my birthday dinner at The Keg with our grandson Sam. We had a good time and the food was great as usual. Thank you Sam my dear.

    US!

Sam and Grandpa Ray. They are a good pair.

Both Ray and I are having trouble these days because we are not very hungry so we don't want much to eat. However we managed to eat our dinner. No dessert though. We don't seem to lose any weight for some reason.
Jim called tonight, he said he had just got in the door. He and Larry were on a cruise through the Panama Canal. He said it was wonderful. WE hadnot spoken for about three weeks which is a long time for us so I was really happy to hear from him.

So now we are watching The Glades and after that Vegas, our entertainment for the night.  After that I am going to bed haha.
My grandson Aaron in some kind of gear, I am not sure if it is action gear when he was in Iraq or if it is shooting gear. Any thoughts?

Ain't it the truth. Don't you feel better already? He is just too precious.
Pretty lady, shopping in the olden days. She has a newspaper in her hand to help her make up her mind.

Amish ladies hand quilting a double wedding ring quilt, at least I think it is a double wedding ring quilt. Look at her hat, those Amish ladies wear those hats all the time, at least in public.  We saw them when we were up in Lancaster county.

Nice chevron. I like the narrow white strips that set off the adjacent fabrics.
Time to go .
Have a lovely evening.
Good night!

Aaron is wearing body armour in that photo, during one of his Iraq war tours.
