How green was my valley

We had a lovely day once again. We did the grocery shopping. I loved the beautiful yellow mums that were for sale at the store. But the one we recently bought is happy in our home and so is still decorating the table. I suppose the yellow one could be put on the dining room table. Yes that would work. We can go and buy it tomorrow.

We took care of the veggies when we got home. We always wash and dry them right away and then put them in their containers, that is if we don't eat them first LOL. I love to eat the radishes and the celery right away. Fortunately I can't eat them all.

Then we went to the casino and that took up the rest of the afternoon. I was lucky today but Ray wasn't.
We went to TOPS for dinner after we left the casino. They have a new buffet at the casino but it was full and you had to put your name on a list . We are not very patient about standing in line.

We came home after dinner and just relaxed and watched the end of How Green Was My Valley. I had seen this movie when it came out in 1941. It was highly advertised and touted as this wonderful movie and it was a great movie of a Welsh mining town and the people in that town.  It has a rating of 5 stars so you can imagine how good it is.

I think it is pertinent even today since there are many mine accidents these days too.

Richard will be back in Calgary this weekend. I am so glad. I miss talking to him every day.. I guess I must get used to that.

I have a friend whose son was in my grade three class and he had a terrible motorcycle accident. It was a head on with a truck. The poor boy has horrible injuries and had to have his leg amputated at the knee. I am just devastated and hope that anyone who cares to pray for William will do so. It is  awful. Thank you folks. I worry about my two grandsons who have motorcycles.

I know I have shown this idea before but last time it was donkeys and this time it is horses.

Which one are you?

So true , remember your mom tomorrow even if she is no longer with you. I do.

And I love this one. This kitty is so cute with her little sweater on to keep her warm and cozy.

So this is my day. I hope you had a great day everyone.
Have a great evening everyone.
Good night.
