Swallow Block

Barn Swallow by Nancy McNally appears in Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Volume 7. It's foundation pieced for perfect points!
Swallow is the name of this block, paper pieced of course with all those points. I can see the swallow in this block. Intersting use of colour in these fabrics.

It was a surprise to find this quilt of yoyos today, As you know I have a bag of them sitting on my sewing table. Maybe I'll use them soon.

Grape Basket. So many Block of the day recently are either baskets or trees. I like this basket although I don't really care for many I see. The colours are well coordinated which may be the reason. I like the match between the bottom basket and the spots on the top of the basket.

Can you figure out the pattern for this quilt? It lloks easy because it is just squares but look again to find out where the squares all fit in. Not quite as easy as you might think. I would need to draw it out on graph paper.

Today I did not go out because  it was not one of my good days. So when Ray went out I lay down and read for a while. That was good for me as I felt better when I got up. But I never got dressed if that means anything. Nor did I do anything but read.

Sunflowers , can you believe it? I have seen these before in Quebec , my Daughter in Law had them planted in her garden. I think they are beautiful, but I feel like that about the yellow ones too. But these are almost like neon lights. There are also other colours of sunflowers and here I thought yellow was the one and only.

I found a couple of cute puppy pictures today.
This caption says, Just one more step Sis, you can do it!  Don't give up yet.

Isn't she cute dressed up in her new pink sweater.

Wow I was doing some crochet and forgot all about my blog. I am doing a dish cloth. I like them for my bathroom sink area because the clean up the water spots really well because they are heavier than the knit ones. I just leave one on the counter by the taps. Of course I change them daily. There are only two in the drawer so I need to have more, hence the crochet workshop today.

Another schoolhouse block

Whoops I forgot to send this one!
