lunch?

 http://www.craftsy.com/ext/20130517_1_FB_quilting_club_1b

Lunch anyone. It would be fun to have a summer lunch on this lovely place mat.
A nice start to the day finding this mat this morning.

We had a good start to the day too when we went out for lunch. Well I guess that is not really the start of the day is it. After my bad day yesterday , today was good. We went to the mall and to the salad bar. I had a salad roll with peanut sauce. I am not sure what the noodels are but I think they are rice noodles. I do like these noodles and the salad rolls too. There were cucmbers and shredded carrot and whatever the roll is enveloped in. it is all good though. Ray had Greek salad. Not much in the way of feta though, just a tiny bit. I guess it is expensive , I know it is because I buy it myself.
But I love Feta and so put it in my salads, not little bits either LOL.
We walked a bit in the mall, took out some money from the bank because we were short of funds. Talked to people , you know how you give chat to those in the elevators especially those with babies.
We went to the bakery for bread. Looked at the dogs in the pet store. Ray asked how much a chihuahua cost and was told $2799.00. That's right . We almost swallowed our teeth  LOL.

$$$$$$$$$

Hard to believe people will pay that much for a dog when you can get one at the SPCA, not a pedigreed one but still a dog to love and one who needs a good home. Not us as we live in an apartment and are not too interested in getting a dog down the elevator and out before he does his business. Then we don't feel able to take a dog for a walk because of the fact we live on a hill. But I would love a dog.

Ray worked hard today on his new model in between his frustrations he did the laundry. At least not too much frustration doing laundry Haha. I just played on my laptop, lots of mail and I spend so much time looking through my pictures for something I want to use or add to my quilting lists. That took up most of my afternoon.
Richard is coming in tomorrow, I will be very happy to see him.

For you who are making a seaside quilt. You will need a lighthouse to guide the way for your ships.

Another of the hexagon blocks with fancy stitching.  As pretty as the other two I posted.

Here are my hexies that I made on postcard when I belonged to a postcard trade.

That's all for tonight.
Have a great evening.
Good night.
