busy afternoon

Aha I sewed today, not a lot but it was quilting on the Halloween table runner. I used a special stitch I call it the EEK stitch and use it on Halloween projects.
You can see it well on the black square.
Half the backing , it is folded over. As you can see there wasn't enough so I pieced it.
The stars I made earlier in the week. Hmm need pressing.

I like this one but it resists my usual efforts to show it. So try it yourself if you are interested.

So we went out to Michael's today for some year. The line up was so slow that we just upped and left. We have noticed lately that stores are not anxious to take your money. Too bad for the bottom line. I know my small purchases are not important in the larger scheme of things but too many small purchases not completed can impact the bottom line. There needs to be  somebody in charge where that person can be seen to be in charge.

Not a good day with merchants today, we went to Tim Horton's after Michael's and I ordered a turkey bacon tomato sandwich.  Another failure, not tasty I wonder what is going on.
Oh I am such a complainer but I don't like wasting my money. The coffee was great though.

I can't believe that I forgot about my blog and moved on to something else. Is this the way old age works hahaha. Apparently.

Have you ever tried Dad's cookies with whipped cream on it. Ray gave me one tonight and it was delicious. First time for me and no doubt not the last.

Did I put this up earlier?
I'll check on an earlier blog.  No can't find it.

Confusing  looking block wouldn't you say. Well I say it is . And I would not care to make it.

Hahaha.... too cute . The masks are great.

Squirrel poking his nose in. I wonder what he sees.

So sweet, cats and dogs as friends.

I was just saying to Ray I would like to have a cat but I don't want my new furniture scratched up. Too bad.

That's it for tonight. I hope you all have a lovely evening.
Good night.

As you see I start celebrating Halloween real early since I do like the symbols if not the symbolism.
