Interesting technique, woven strip mat in beautiful Xmas fabrics.

The fabrics here are just gorgeous. I wonder whose they are.

We stayed home all day since I am on a new drug and wanted to be sure it was okay as you never know.  It seems to be fine but my back hurts.
I did some of the washing as there was quite a bit of laundry. There always is on Sunday -we wash all the towels and sheets if necessary, pillowcases in the mix too.  Ray has been doing all the laundry but I need to give him a bit of a hand, I want to give him a hand. He does so much around here.

For dinner I invented something new and ti was so good. First I made some instant potatoes , put butter on them and as a side dish in the same bowl I added some salsa . Delicious. Then to fix it up a bit better I made some sliced tomatoes and cucumbers covered them with a bit of oil and malt vinegar, salt and a small amount of pepper. More delicious. So My dinner was great. Ray cannot eat potatoes and just tells me to get on with whatever I want . He isn't even eating much these days , there seems to be nothing I can make to tempt him.And when I ask him he just says Oh don't worry about it. I don't know what to do.

That was the day for me, nothing special at all.

But this boy looks as if he is ready to work LOL. I wonder what is so fascinating to felines  about quilting. I have seen thousands of pictures of cats on quilts and poking their heads through sewing machines.   Cats seem to like sewing as much as we do.

Remember these and the key that tightened up the skate?   I had a pair of these skates when I

was about 10. There was a long hill coming down from Fraser Street at around 27 Ave. It used to be such fun to go down that hill and  the little old ladies would come out and shake their fingers at us, too dangerous they said as we toiled our way up the hill for the next trip down. All I remember was it was so much fun. Ah the memories ....

Hmm going on a trip? Sweet bye byes baby.

My Daughter In Law Margo sent this gorgeous photo of a garden. I don't know which garden it was but that's okay.

An old fashioned kitchen and I mean old!  See the green cabinet there on the right, that would be the cabinet for the family. I recall when I lived in Victoria and Richard was just born the house we lived in had a kitchen with no cupboards and we had to buy a
free standing  cabinet to hole the dishes. There was a pantry for the food stuffs and we had a fridge to hold the foods that needed to be kept cool. Different times. That was 1955. This though is much older. See the enamel pan, and coffee pot on the stove. And note the draft on the left hand side of the stove. Pull the handle to the side one way or another and air would change the quality of the fire .

aha A set of great coasters. I guess you can make coasters from any design you would like. Just determine the size you want them to be.

Red birds cute little guys aren't they. See the hearts in the background, this looks like a Valentine quilt.

This is ti for me folks.
I hope you all had a good day.

Good evening.
