Canada Day

Christmas in July! Save up to 45%

Lovely Christmas fabric. I love these charm packs.

And back to July...
Happy Canada to all Canadians and ex patriot Canadians.

Oh Canada . Long may She wave.

Pretty pillow sham. Do you need a pattern? Well here it is.

Scrappy bowl .  isn't it pretty. You can hold threads , buttons , needle cases and whatever else comes to mind.

Aha! The hen that laid the golden egg. What a great place for a nest and what a great hen this one is.  Love her colour, a beautiful blue just in case you don't recognize the colour LOL.

So our Canada Day went well for us. We had lunch at I Hop and then went to Bond Books. Ray even bought 2 books, that was a surprise.

I bought two books too, nothing surprising about that. Hahaha.
Ray's book are about airplanes and mine are stories. Well one is a novel and the other is about a Nazi.  WW2 has always fascinated me as our household at the time was fully emotionally involved with it. My parents were British and they both had family back in Britain . We regularly received letters from the family some assuring us all was well but others not so assuring.
The other book is just for entertainment. And ultimately for Margaret when I have read it.

We had a nice time in the book store and the lady at the counter was so friendly. Good customer relations but often not what you get at a store.

Our Charlotte on her trip to Alberta where she will be a flower girl at a wedding. This is her dad's family. I don't know who just that Charlotte will entertain everybody. She always does.
Our little girl is growing up. She looks so polite and so delighted to have a sprinkle doughnut in front of her.  This is so precious.

And she would!! A little bit of humour is a lot of fun.

This is the block that I am making for Guild.

It is a huge 9 patch, either 15 inches or 18 inches, not sure which. there are 5 blocks all the same so no need to put up any more of them. Not something I like particularly but with sashing and borders it may look better. I donated the reptile fabric because I didn't like that either.  I won that set of fabrics on my on line bingo.

This fabric below is also for Bingo. The theme this time is fairies. These little fairies are a fun fabric.
The fairies are big enough to fussy cut for a quilt.

Aaaw.

More aaaw, these two little cuties are out for a walk. Watch your ankles if you see them.

Our    special Chelsea ready for another night of jazz. Chelsea is our granddaughter. She lives in Toronto now and is very active in the jazz scene. Chelsea has special talents in music, creating her own music and playing numerous instruments.
The sailors  growing their sailor beards out on the ocean waves.  Rick called tonight to say all was well and they were ashore for dinner and for the night.

That's all for tonight folks.
Keep cool and eat your watermelon.

Red and green are so pretty.
Have a great evening.
Good night.
