It's a BOY

Congratulations to Will and Kate on the birth of their baby boy today. It is an exciting event to welcome a new life to the monarchy.

Mama Moose had twins and somewhere along the way she adopted another set of twins. What a mother. As you know I do love moose and admire this lady. Notice how she is still losing her winter shag.

Richard left this morning to drive to Calgary. He has a dreadful painful shoulder which he injured on the boat. He called the ALS society in Calgary and they said to come right in when he arrived back home. Apparently injuries take much longer to heal when one has ALS. Is there nothing that goes well with this disease. It seems not.

Tutorials and tips , have a look. The backing tip is interesting.

Millstone is the name of this block. Good one!. For some reason I don't find this block attractive, maybe it is the colours. It just looks blocky to me so it might be the the outer rim of triangles. I do like the inner part of the block though.

I did not go out today but Ray went to the massage therapist for the first time. He wanted him to do some work on his back to see if it would help the pain. And he just said it was okay, not even stiff. Now that's a good day for him.

Lynn came after lunch to clean up and we needed it. I have to stop Ray from doing the cleaning. After all we pay to get it done so why should he wreck his back again. Today he didn't try. I am winning !!

All I did was sit at my laptop, read my book  and then I had a good nap. My goodness what is going on with me.

I haven't heard from Rick, tried to call him but no answer. The phone rang  but there was no answer. I hope he is all right.
I worry. That is my job.
A pillowcase with a pieced band. I like the band but not with this case fabric.  The band does pick up the  colours of the pillowcase but I think the background of the band could be different to be more effective.

I hope this works. Missouri quilt company is the one I watched

and it is very well done.

Cool in the pool. These dogs know how to beat the heat. Which dog does not belong?
Love everlasting. Man comes home from Afghanistan , dog is overjoyed. This is such an endearing picture. Dogs have long memories.

Crows cleaning up. Ray said that ravens in Yellowknife were very clever and two of them would lift the lid of a garbage can to get at the food inside. At least this member of the corvid family cleans up after himself. This group of birds is very interesting. I have a lovely book called Bird Brain which is about crows and other birds of this family.

That's it for tonight folks.
Have a great evening.

Good night.
