lunch with Sam

I call this the Chicken Palace but really it is as you can see Swiss Chalet.  We met Sam there for lunch and of course we had chicken. I had a leg and thigh with salad and raspberry vinaigrette with a bun and butter. It was all very good. Out time with Sam was lovely as always. We also had a bit of a chat with Adam who called Sam while we were there. Sam and Adam owned a house together and finally were able to sell it. they bought the house for Adam's dad to live in because he became homeless in his declining years and he lived there until he passed away .

Sam talked about his upcoming visit to Israel where he is going to do some business. I told him to stay away from the border and he laughed and said it is all border, it is a very small country. If so  I wonder what all the fuss is between Israel and the Palestine  nation. Is it because Israel was carved out of Palestine  territory by the British and Americans. Probably so.
Rick is here now, we had dinner together, not much just 2 smokies which filled us up. None of us have very large appetites these days.
And I don't feel like making meals either in these hot days. Last night a salad, tonight smokies. Big  Decisions. LOL.

Marg came over for a visit while Richard was here , they had a nice talk. All in all a fine afternoon except for the fence around the complex to keep everyone out. Ray had to go down to let Rick in because the security guard wouldn't let him enter. As if Rick in his wheelchair would be any problem LOL. Since the security guards here cannot speak English it can be a problem since most people in the complex are English speakers and so are their guests.

Hahaha. Isn't it the truth.
This looks like  quilt store fabric the way it is so nicely folded. It certainly does not reflect the way my fabric looks LOL.

Chris and Ricky in the foreground and Richard at the back of the photo. He looks a bit tired. I guess they are just off the boat. It is all very tiring for my dear Rick these days.

Rose checking out the local grocery store sales preparing for the day when she is able to tell mommy what to buy. That shouldn't be long now. She'll be talking up a storm.

This little face doesn't seem to belong to this mother  but  she is doing the job of mothering Very well from the looks of it.
From Scrapbuster showing a beautiful quilt made from all different fabrics . It says scraps but they'll need to be pretty big scraps to get the repeats on the blocks. I liek making quilts like this, so far  All my quilts are made from "Scraps". It is really fun to pull the scraps or fabrics.

Remember the green shoes, well here is a red pair form the same lady in Australia. They are very special.

And here is the daily cat!
Beautiful isn't he ?
And with that I am closing for tonight.
Have a lovely evening.
Good night!
