meeting

We had a meeting in the courtyard of the members of the complex along with the council and other associated people. I was not sure what they were but they had information. The main thing for us to know is that it will take up to 18 months to fix the fire damage and in that time the post office will now allow the post people to deliver our mail. We had to go to the post office to make a change of residence card so they can deliver the mail. Margaret kindly offered to let us to use her address. Thanks Marg, that is kind of you.So even thought the fire did not impact us directly it did impact us in an indirect way.

Download now as a pdf pattern
Streak of Lightening. It is just 16 half square triangles arranged to imitate a lightening  strike. This would look good in yellow, oranges and reds. A real fire storm.

Hearts of Strips. All hearts are easy to make and these are too. Join up your strips , lay a template on the strips and cut around the template. My favourite template material is freezer paper because it stays still if you heat it a bit. these look as if they have been sewn double but I would applique them onto  a background.

While waiting for the elevator in Metrotown this afternoon I saw the Cadillac of baby strollers. It was a lime green and had all the accroutrements of a high end stroller but the one that caught my attention was the umbrella. The umbrella was attached to the stroller and was the same lime green as the stroller so it was a deliberate attachment , screwed onto the side of the stroller so as to
protect the baby from the sun. It was quite something!
The colour but no umbrella, they will be coming.
This one comes equipped.

We went to the Cinnabon where we only share one bun and have 2 coffees. The lady knows what we want and brings it to the table. I have said this before but they are lovely people.
After eating we came home. I was not feeling up to par so we made that decision.

Here it is,  the elusive quilter's knot. All really good hand quilters use this knot.

The Pacific salmon fisheries are in big trouble here and the catch is small. We , the Canadians and Americans along with the Natives should be getting together on this and coming up with a solution. The solution right now is to close the fishery. No one has the right to use up this natural resource.
Braving the rapids on the way to the spawning beds.
Do you know this old lady, she came up today on Facebook. I don't know her but she looks like a photo I have of my great grandma. I must see if I can find it.
Remember these dishes, they came in a set. I can't recall  the colour of the other two pieces of the set. And a lovely table runner made with a simple block. I wonder what this block is called. It is so easy to make I am sure. But cutting may be a problem LOL.

Time to go folks.
Have a lovely evening.
Good night.
