better news

Leo, Marion's husband, called a few minutes ago to say that Marion is in better condition today, She is getting blood tranfusions but the blood is leaking somewhere  and they can't quite figure out where. But her condition is more stable than yesterday.
I had a call from Jim in Edmonton this afternoon and he offered to come and stay with me if Ray has to go to Winnipeg but Ray doesn't think anyone can take care of me but him.
I had a big surprise today. Ray called out to me to ask what I was doing in the kitchen, (looking in the fridge for ginger ale) . Shock to both of us , I had walked in there without my walker, just didn't think. That is good!!!!! For me things are looking up in the standing and walking department,certainly not in top condition but definitely better.
Rick also called today to see how we were.

Talk about strange events. Ray called out to me while I was otherwise occupied saying did you know you had money in your coat pocket. I thought I had removed the money from yesterday and laid it on the table and I had done so. But Ray said it was over three hundred dollars.  How can you forget you have that much money in your pocket ? I think it must have been the money I won at the casino in December.  Better to be in the black than in the red or is the other way around. Doesn't matter I am up $300. )))) LOL.

Of course it is applique which I understand is an anathema to lots of quilters, but if you have a simple design with no points it is relatively simple to do. Try one!
