home again

We are back home again from Washington state. We drove down to Tulalip and spent the night in the beautiful hotel but the slots were not very good to us. So after a lovely day and some nice food we left to visit the Angels of the Winds casino where we did win  a few hundred dollars. We  went further north to the Silver Reef where we spent the night as we were tired. That was fun. Not being tired but staying at the hotel LOL. I think I told you about this hotel Tulalip befroe, it is like staying in a Native Art Gallery.

Here is attention to detail. The hotel colour scheme is red and black and this toilet paper is wrapped in red. It is the significant  item that epitomizes this attention. LOL.

This is such an amazing piece of work , it is hanging in a glass enclosed show window. You come upon it from the elevator corridor , it is so beautiful.

I am watching a show about unwed mothers in the 50s, 60s, and even up to the 80s whose babies were abducted from them by the system. It is a dreadful story. I remember how it was during those times. Girls were  threatened with all kinds of things if they got pregnant. Some girls were just thrown out of the house. What on earth were they to do. It still makes me sad to think of what they went through.

We went to London Drugs to pick up my laptop when we got home. I missed it and Ray said it looked funny to see it on my lap. It has to havve been a week since it left home LOL. I had the young man open it up and check to see if all  was to my taste and a couple of things had to be changed.  Now I am happy :))) It takes so little!!
We are still in a big mess but on Monday the carpet people are coming and then we can get back to getting things back to normal. That will be so nice. We have been in such a mess since the painting but chose not to put it all back because we would have to just remove it all again.
And the cleaning lady can come back this week too. She was away for one week in Las Vegas and then last week we couldn't have her because of all the upset. It will be nice to see her again.
