We spent the morning watching Giant , the whole movie. I have only seen parts of it before. It was very enjoyable and I think Elizabeth Taylor was excellent portraying an independent thinking woman at a time when that was not a popular concept.

After the movie  when we went up to the mall  to pick up a couple of things we ran into my sister Margaret. She said that Karin , her daughter sent her my blog and she reads it all the time. I was surprised because I didn't think Margaret ever used the computer. See you never know about people even your only sister. So Hi Sis and welcome to my blog. You can sign up as a follower on the front page if you wish.
I was so tired when I got home, I could hardly stand up so I lay down for a couple of hours and just read my book. Speaking of books Marg reminded me that I had not acknowledged the two books she brought over on her last visit. So thanks Marg , I am reading one of them.
After my lay down I did some cutting and cut 17 of the round pieces of the Drunkards Pat and 17 of the outside pieces. Then I sat down and pinned them all. Here are my pictures....
The cuttings both sides of the DP. and all in 30s fabric. I may need to borrow some from my friends LOL as I want them all to be different.
And then I sat in my chair and pinned these blocks so that I can chain piece them- or not, depends on how that goes for me. But they are all ready to go. They looks so pale because the front side of the fabric is right sides together.
So that was my work day or fun day as we often call it. LOL.

And here is the lovely carnation I was given yesterday by Mr. TOPS!!! Beautiful colour isn't it.
Jean sent me this photo of Adam and Lisa in Delaware on a recent trip. They both look so nice in this one, not that they don't always look nice :))

Weather Report.....
Oh my it was another gorgeous day with the sun shining all day  and there is more to come. God has smiled on Vancouver this week. Now why didn't I take a picture, tomorrow I will.
Katie and Remy in front of their house. Both of them look lovely don't they. On Wednesday Meg, Lewis and Charlotte are coming over for a morning visit. I am really looking forward to seeing them. I wonder if Ricky will come too. That would be nice.
Tomorrow is my sewing day so I should have even more fun.
Time out folks.
Buona notte.
