Adam left this morning for Victoria but it was so good to have him here even for such a short time. He went out early this morning for his walk of five miles or so and wanted to stop at TOPS for breakfast . They were closed at 6:00 AM. They used to be open 24 hours . So he had to stop off at Bino's . Then he came home and got ready to go his meeting down town and then to Victoria.
We went out for lunch at the mall and had Chinese food there. The business has been sold and the food is not as good as the former owners made it. I tend to see that happen when a established business is sold, the new owner has to cut back and to use food from the day before in order to pay what they owe. I thought the chicken I ordered was yesterdays warmed over. Too bad.
We went shopping at Sears. I had to replace the top that Ray put in the dryer. So I bought two , one in pink and one in white. Ray laughed and said so I ruin one and you replace it with two. Not a good deal for him haha. I said well I really want the purple one like the one you put in the dryer so if I can find it that will make three LOL.
Then we went to Safeway to buy some cheeses and meats to take to the Tuesday sewing group pot luck tomorrow. It will be out in Langley at Diane's very large property. We have it there every year and it is always lovely. I'll take photos.
We came home and I had to lay down,so I finished my book. It had the weirdest ending, I thought we were on to the next chapter and that the mystery had not been fully explained , it ended there. It left me wanting to see what actually happened, almost as if the book had a chapter missing. Frustrating!
Then after a short power nap Haha I sat down at my sewing machine to continue on with the DPs. My machine was grabbig the fabric in the beginning and the needle was thumping. I thought to myself aha the needle needs changing. So I changed it and the thumping stopped. I still have trouble with the fabric being eaten if I don't use a leader scrap and sew onto the DP that way. Anyway I got all done that were ready to sew except one which had a wrinkle in it and had to be unsewed. That was the first one in the bunch I had sewn so not too bad!
I made 13 blocks to go with the 29 other blocks I have. I need to lay them out.
I just had to share this photo, this dog is having fun!! The wind in his face, could be a song title LOL.
That's it folks. Have a great evening!
