from quilt pro

This pattern is from the Quilt Pro group. It is a quilting programme. I bought one some time ago and loved using it for the quilt blocks and instructions on how to make them for my guild newsletter when I was President.  I think it is such a user friendly programme. Check out this block and the PDF to see if you find it easy to use. This is the second one I have put up on the blog . Have fun with it if you choose to purchase it. No I am not a promoter for Quilt Pro just a happy former user.

I went to quilting with Pat this morning , but first we stopped off at Starbucks in the Oakridge Mall where we had a chat and gossip. Not much gossip this morning so it was just chat. Pat and I have virtually nothing to gossip LOL just talking about what is going on in our sewing groups.
At the group Betty our 86 year old prize winning quilter brought her  gorgeous appliqued quilt which she was HAND quilting. She said she was entering it into the quilt show and I expect her to win first prize once again.
Here it is.

Betty always takes the prize for her hand quilting.

And this is the hand quilting close up.

Joanne on the right with her quilt that she is giving to a young man. At least that is what I think she said.

When  I got home our granddaughters Meaghan, Lewis and Mary came over with the great granddaughters.
We had such fun with them Rose who is only 6 months old and isn't that active although she was very good today, no crying at all and she was dressed up like a princess in a lovely red dress I bought her for Christmas. So here is the little princess...

Isn't she adorable?
And here she is on Great Grandma's lap.
See the socks and shoes, she is perfectly coordinated!
There she likes me LOL and I like her.

You know Charlotte already but she was her winning self today and we had a lot of fun with her. Thank goodness I don't have to run after her, she is a going concern and full of laughs.
Here she is....
Her beautiful smile is so adorable.
Again...
Last photo of Charlotte for today..
Mary with the two babies.
I was so happy . Life is good when you can
last long enough  meet the third generation.

You have heard of the phrase "like a beached whale" well we actually had a beached whale that washed up on a White Rock beach not too far away from Vancouver. Sadly the young whale had become caught up in netting and was not able to find food or eat food so he washed up on the beach still alive but he died very shortly after. That is so sad. Fishermen in there boats have no right to let the nets loose where they can capture ahe animals of the ocean. Man often thinks he has a right to do whatever he wants no matter whom or what it impacts. A very sad tale.
They  think they can find the owner of the netting  by indentifying
it and locating the owner. However they think it may have been an accident that the netting got loose.
Now it is time for me to rest , it has been a long and busy day.
Have a lovely evening.
Guten Abend
