once again

www.allaboutapplique.net
Some great applique tips . I like the site from Calgary Alberta. This lady has some cute table runners . Unfortunately none of these are free  but the runners only cost about $10.00 if you care to apply for one.
Kay MacKenzie has a great book for dolls and dresses to applique. I love it. You can look inside the book, directions are on the right where you can also purchase the book @ $15.95.
There are some lovely places to visit.

Sunday is always a fairly quiet day for us, particularly today as Ray was not feeling well. He said the constant pain is getting him down , his back and his swollen wrist. We did run up to the store for some kidney beans and hamburger as I am going to make chili for dinner. We bought some corn on the cob too.
Yesterday we bought some lemon bread which we attacked this afternoon and it is delicious.
I have just been playing around with my computer and having fun.

I sent out an invitation to dinner at Minerva's for three of my friends. We used to do that every month  before I got sick ,so the last time was December 2010. I am really excited about doing that this month on the 13th. Fortunately Kathy will pick me up and we can go together. Thanks Kathy!!
I'm off to start my chili, will return later LOL.

Let's see if this works . It appears to. Let me know if it doesn't, someone!
Big spider epidemic in a Sadiya  NE  India,  People are  very afraid of being poisoned but doctors say they cannot administer an antidote since the spiders have not yet been identified. Some say it is  the very dangerous funnel web spider but that has not been confirmed. The spiders are everywhere , in the china , the beds everywhere.  It must be frightening.
Pretty scary looking isn't it.

We are talking flood here. Lots of flooding along the river system in our ptovince and there is a flood watch for the Lower Mainland. We haven't actually seen the rising water. Ray and I have been discussing the possibilty of flooding along the Fraser where there is new construction going  on, new homes and commercial development.
Jim called but the reception was so bad we had to hang up. He called me back but we were cut off. I tried to get back to him on our new awful phone that neither Ray nor I understand. I could not manage to get back to him.

And he is going up to his camp for a few days. It is a very nice place of 80 acres but with an excellent cleared section with campers  all around in a circle and a barbecue pit in the middle. It is fun to go there.

My embroidery machine I pine for it....

Time out!
Have a lovely evening!
Buenos noches
