another marvellous day

More sunshine but no too much heat. It was perfect! But we had to do our regular stuff like grocery shopping.
In the store I usually sit on my walker and check out the quilting magazines.  This month's issue of Love of Quilting had some great Hallowe'en  designs. I should have bought it but didn't , I will next week. Then I can show you the cover which is  dramatic.
We had our usual coffee and bagel at Timmy's.
Yes Timmy's is a coffee and doughnut shop. A national icon !
Tim Horton was a hockey player who invested in  the coffee shop along with another investor Ron Joyce. The chain became the largest in Canada proliferating across the country. We all love Tim's in this country.
Marg came over and we went to the casino. It is losing its appeal to Ray and me. I gave her the book on Colonel Russell Williams and his crimes against women. As a very prominent and highly respected member of  The Royal Canadian Air Force who commited terrible crimes. I know Marg will find it interesting.
The book she brought over the other day The Witness by Nora Roberts. It is a compelling story of a young woman who witnessed a killing and managed to escape. Now she is hiding out in the Ozarks in a delightful mountain cabin with her highly trained dog and various security systems around her property. She is a woman who is brilliant and has an eidetic memory.   I spent an hour and a half reading it after we came home. I can scarcely put it down.  I know I'll be sorry when I finish it.

Which is which LOL.

Hahaha I'll bet you do doggie !!

Have a great evening folks.
Bon soir.

Not quite an National icon Nan. I went on line and Tim Horton's is only in Canada. And because I don't watch hockey I don't know who Jim Horton is.. Sorry , Jean

Jean Canaada is a nation so Tim Hortons is a Canadian national icon. And that is why it is only in Canada although I do believe it ventured into the states at one time but closed up shop there.
Tim Horton was a player many years ago, he is not current nor is he still alive. But the doughnut shops linger on LOL Food always wins.
