This is the latest Bobbysock redwork block. Sure is cute-almost makes me want to do redwork LOL. I may do some yet! Thanks for this one Billie!

Download now as a pdf pattern

Magnolia pattern from Quilt Pro I don't usually care for pieced flower blocks but this is one I really like, maybe because it is pink haha.
Oh boy did we have a day!! Started the morning by going to Coquitlam  and paying out $100 for the pick up of our old sofa and chair.  They'll probably sell it for $100. LOL.
Then we wended our way across the world  to UBC hospital . What a disaster that was, it was a good thing we had given ourselves lots of time to get there. We could not recognize a thing for all the construction  and the road closures. We used to just get there , turn left and bang we were there . We lost the hospital altogether. We went right past where it used to be LOL and could not find it. So we backtracked and finally had to ask for directions to the hospital. It was down the road, turn right, go down a bit, turn right and then turn right again. Well we got there and found a place to park. $20 later for parking and we walked into the hospital, asked directions to the second floor, if you can imagine , but the elevators were hard to find. We then found ourselves in some kind of a roundabout and needed more help to find our way. We finally got to the office, sat for an hour or more before we were called in to see the doctor.  This was when Ray became very disappointed. Me too. The doctor hammered his knees and other joints to see if he had any reflexes, told us the cat scan showed narrowing of something down there and he was sending us to see another doctor!!!!!!
Poor Ray , he thought he ws going to get help soon. I asked the doctor to try and speed up the appointment as Ray wsa in a lot of pain. He said he would do that, one good thing but then we'll see how that goes.
We had to have help to get out of that floor to the elevators too...
By then we were worn out and decided to go to the White Spot for dinner. However that was across town too but on the way home.
Too much food, couldn't eat it all. But the dessert was good
See these blueberries, imagine they are strawberries, that's what we had, shared one. I am not fond of blueberries.
Strawberry tart and whipped cream on top. Who couldn't like that.
We had to gas up after all the driving around the country.
We finally made it to the door
and found Rick back from his MRI. We didn't think he would be home but there he was. We just collapsed in our chairs. And have not got up since haha.
Rick had to get himself something to eat. Poor guy, no one to wait on him. But the he is very independent and very able to take care of himself.

We got a call from Ray's cousin to say that his dad who is Ray's age and with whom Ray grew up  was in intensive care with failing kidneys and he probably had just a few days left at the most. So tomorrow we are off to the Surrey hospital and I can tell you it is a nightmare too!!

We had to call the remaining members of his family tonight.
I am going to call it a day as my computer is acting up. Have a lovely evening folks.
Buona Sera.
