Lunch out

We met Bob and Buzz for lunch today. We talked about Reno as they are going there in August. Reno and Las Vegas are suffering we think because of the proliferation of casinos all over the country. Many are not going any more because there are many casinos in their immediate area. Times change !!
Guess who forgot her handy dandy camera at home? But then I have taken photos of Bob and Buzz before....
Taken some time ago....

Two for the price of one.

We also talked about our fancy china teacups. We know our kids don't want anything like that. Even my Adam who has two complete sets of some beautiful English china that none of his or Lisa's kids want. They don't have tea! And they all like mugs. So do I, I rarely use my nice stuff. So Buzz and I decided they would come over for tea after our new chesterfield  gets here. We are celebrating our new furniture. Isn't that a good idea?

More Christmas gift ideas. So many people have e readers that  this would make a great present for Christmas.

I had the thought that I might like to sew, it was a good thought that I may act on soon LOL,not tomorrow though as we have to got to Coquitlam to the store where we bought the chesterfield and pay for them to take away our old pieces.  Then we have to go miles and miles in the totally opposite direction to UBC hospital so Ray can see the specialist about his back. That will take up the whole day as the doctor's place is a clinic. We have an appointment at 3:00 PM and who knows when we'll get back home which is miles away from the hospital. Oh well we'll have many miles under
our belts and on our wheels when the day is done.
That is for tomorrow, well I'll tell you what happens tomorrow.
We came back from having lunch with Bob and Buzz to be home for the house cleaner . We had a message cancelling today's appointment. Darn we could have gone shopping at Sears and doen some other things. But Rick was coming so we had to stay home. However we will give him the key so he can come and go without needing us to be home.
Old sewing machines tonight. this one looks like it is a hand crank machine. Gail would know as she is an expert on antique machines.
This one looks like an old treadle. Antique threads too!!

And here she is the busy seamstress. I woner what she is making. Of course this is a treadle machine. Is it a Singer or some other name. She looks so lovely and happy at her machine.

And last but not least..... This antique sewing machine is on a post card I embroidered when I was making postcards. Just happened to run inot a free ruler at the time and embroidered it along the side.
I love this card!
Time out folks.
Have a great evening and or morning!
Guten tag.
